The Antelopes fresco
Two antelopes are sketched with strong, dark lines on a white plaster background. Their simple figures are slender and agile, and their movements reserved yet expressive. From the same room as the ‘Boxing children’ fresco and possibly part of a large symbolic composition of humans and young animals. Antelopes, alone or in pairs, also decorated the other walls. Santorini, Akrotiri, Room B1, Building B.
